I spent some time today making the big upgrade to Movable Type 3.2. I like what I see so far. I hope nothing is broken. I also spent a lot of time deleting spam. I hate spam.
Nothing much to see here. I just thought I’d make an update. One of these days I’m actually going to update this site. I’ll add more content and maybe even change the design a little.
I’m working hard for pennies it seems. Shouldn’t I be able to retire at 26? When I do get a little free time, I like to read a book or watch a DVD or play a video game. Does anyone use Netflix and want to be my friend? I actually started back playing games on my PC recently. You can click on the image below to see what I’ve been working on.
Looks like the site is back up. The credit card that I used to pay for the hosting space recently expired. I never got around to giving my new hosting company new credit card information even though they sent me an email about it. Doh!
I upgraded to Movable Type 3.14 today. Let me know if something doesn’t work.
I knew it had to happen sooner or later. I finally started getting spam in my comments. I’ll be looking into ways of preventing that or at least finding an easy way to remove them more easily.
So I googled the phrase “My Boring Life” and came up with a ton of hits. It’s good to know that other people are just as uncreative as I am. I guess I’ll just have to come up with another subtitle for this site. And maybe a logo.
Over the past week or so I’ve made a few changes to the front page. I put more stuff on it and made placeholders for future links. The photo album and the forums are both active now (they were both sitting out there for a while before I made links to them). Also, I changed some of the code that generates these pages and I fixed a bug that wouldn’t allow you to preview a comment before posting it.
If anything doesn’t work or just looks weird, let me know.
I fixed one of the links on the right. It was pointing to GameTrailors.com when it should have been pointing to GameTrailers.com.
I finally got around to making a website. Everybody else is doing it, so why not me? This is a work in progress, so I’ll add more stuff and try to make it look better as I get time. I hope this will help people stay up-to-date on what I’m doing, because I get a lot of complaints about that. I also plan to post some of the pictures that I have taken with my camera, some information about the work that I’ve done, possibly a resume, and whatever else I feel like putting on the site.
The name of the site is a nickname that I sometimes use when I play video games. It’s the name of a sword in a series of books by George R.R. Martin, but I spelled it with a “k” instead of a “c” like he does. I hope I can’t get sued for that.
